Laurel Run Farm is proud to announce a new dining concept in Hocking Hills. Starting in the fall, guests will have several options to enhance their weekend at the Lodge. Certified Master Chef Alfonso Contrisciani, of Oliver Farms and Hocking College Culinary School will take over as the chef in residence to create a very unique dining experience. All menus will be fixed price and will vary based on season and all locally sourced ingredients. Dining will be offered in two options, “The Counter” and “The Table” experience. The menus will be modified based on ingredients and suggestions from the clients. Clients are encouraged to pair the dishes with their wines or an optional wine pairing can be arranged with Chef.

Chef Alfonso is a man who comes from a very diverse and outstanding culinary background.

He has done about everything in the food industry. He teaches at Hocking College, grows his own produce, raises his own animals, has time to run a food pantry and is the constant champion of farm to table cooking before it was popular.

He has written a cookbook and is very popular on the catering circuit. In 1996, he became a certified master chef. There are only 67 in our nation.

The Counter

A beautiful 8 seat granite counter situated inches for the cooking area. This allows great visibility and interaction with Chef Alfonso. Diners are encouraged to ask questions and interact with the staff. This is smell-a-vision at its best!

The Table

A wonderful long oak table underneath a wrought iron chandelier. It is still close enough to interact with the Chef, yet far enough away to relax in the traditional table setting. The table is slightly narrowed to bring guests closer together to still allow a more intimate dining experience. Best suited for 10-16 people

The Weekend

A complete culinary experience that fills the entire weekend. Sometimes known as the “American Plan”, it spans your entire stay at the Lodge and is only offered on weekend stays. It begins on Friday night with dinner, wake up to a light breakfast in the morning on Saturday, lunch is to be carried out and consumed as you explore the Hills. When you return, a charcuterie and cheese plate awaits and to be followed up with the dinner. You will follow up on Sunday with a wonderful brunch to conclude your stay. Minimum of 8 people required.
